Fraudulent orders

I have received an email asking me to provide personal information because my order has been classified as risky. Is this legitimate?

Yes, this email is a legitimate email from Sting.
It is estimated that nearly $60 billion worth of consumer goods will be lost to fraudulent activity in 2024. To protect our customers and Sting, we have two options:
We can increase our prices to compensate for this loss, or
implement the security review below to keep our prices the same
Our website security uses background algorithms to assess the level of risk for each order
Low-risk orders are automatically authorized
Medium-risk orders require the following review before they are processed:
You will receive an email from Sting with a screenshot of the reasons why your order is medium risk
We require two forms of identification to verify the information in your order
The name on the payment method and other identification documents must match
If we do not receive the verification information within the timeframe specified in the email, the order will be canceled
We will send a reminder and a final email 24 hours before the order is canceled
Payment will not be processed until we authorize the transaction. There may be a pending charge or block on your account in your transaction history with your financial institution. If the order is confirmed, this will be credited to your account. If the order is canceled, it will not be credited to your account and will be deleted from your transaction history


I did not request my order to be canceled, but I still received an email that my order was canceled. Why?

High risk orders are automatically canceled. If you need an explanation as to why, we can email you a screenshot of your order history on request.
The payment will not be processed. There may be a pending charge or block on your account in your transaction history with your financial institution. Once the order is canceled, it will not be posted to your account and your transaction history will be deleted.
If Sting requests information from you regarding your order and we do not receive a response within the time period specified in the email, we reserve the right to cancel your order. Less the fee stated below.


Out of stock or unavailable items

If an item becomes unavailable between the time you place your order and the expected shipping date, we will notify you by email. You have the option to:

wait until it is back in stock,
select another item, or
receive a full refund, including shipping or tax charges if applicable.
You will be given a time frame in which to respond. If we do not receive a response, your order will be canceled.

I ordered the wrong item. How can I cancel my order?

If your order is not yet in our fulfillment center, we can change the items, color, quantity, size, etc. so you can avoid the cancellation fee.
Please send an email to infoeu@stingsports.com as soon as possible with your order number (DE#####) and the size or item you need instead.
If the order is in our fulfillment center or has already been shipped, we will not be able to make any changes and you will need to go through the Return and Refund Policy process once you receive it here.


I entered the wrong shipping address, how can I cancel my order?

If your order is not yet in our fulfillment center, we can change the shipping address so you can avoid the cancellation fee.
Please email infoeu@stingsports.com with your order number (DE#####) and the correct shipping address as soon as possible.
If the order is in our fulfillment center or has already been shipped, we cannot make any changes and you will need to contact the carrier to change your shipping address. View our shipping guidelines for next steps here.


I no longer want my order. How can I cancel it?

As long as the order is not yet in our fulfillment center, we can cancel it.
For refunds, depending on your financial institution, it will take 3-5 days for the funds to show as available in your account.
Once the order is in our fulfillment center or has already shipped, we can no longer make changes and you will need to go through the refund and return process here once received.
